The Story of Operating theatre
Created for The New Yorker in 2017, Operating Theatre was inspired by my own experience of undergoing eye surgery as a child. What I never imagined was that throusands of female surgeons around the world would go on to recreate the cover, turning it into a symbol of female representation in medicine.
To this day, seeing an illustration take on a life of its own in such a moving and meaningful way remains one of the most extraordinary moments of my career.
