New Yorker covers

I landed my first cover for The New Yorker back in 2016 and this collaboration has been a real turning point for me as an artist but also as a person.

The exercise in itself is a real challenge : it isn’t just about creating a striking cover, it is about digging within yourself for inspiration and coming up with ideas that feel both personal and universal. The more covers I did, the more excited I felt about thge next one. Little by little, cover by cover, my voice becomes stronger.

Seeing how an image based on personal experience can resonate with so many people out there and give them a voice was one of the best experiences of my career and pushed me out of my comfort zone.

Not only did it change the way I am selecting projects and approaching illustration as a whole, it also really changed me as a person.
