Stripes

My interest in the Op Art movement, and in stripes in particular, began in art school where I discovered the likes of Bridget Riley, Victor Vasarely and Daniel Buren. I was fascinated by the effect their images had on my interpretation of reality. They made me feel strange, but in a way that was stimulating to the brain.

I am particularly interested in optical illusions created by the repetition of lines and shapes and the movement they seem to create on their own.
